Love the Body

Love the Body

We must love our bodies because we are the ones looking at our bodies daily. Your body is going to carry you through this life journey. There will be times when your body goes through changes you have no control of but that doesn’t mean you should stop loving your body. A lot of times social media and society stereotypes the “ideal” body, or this is what your body “needs”.  That’s when we start questioning ourselves, “Am I good enough?”  “I wish I had this”? “Do I need this”? … Comments and statements like this can have a serious impact on your self love. Just remember all our bodies and bone structures are different, the most important thing is how the body feels internally. Often, we are beating ourselves up trying to reach a certain body type that we forget to appreciate the body how it is.

I have criticized myself for a lack of leg growth. The strength is there but the size isn’t there. I had to self-reflect on the fact that I’m healthy and still have the ability to improve. I have seen women wanting bigger glutes and more defined backs. I have seen men wanting bigger arms and chest. As we all know a vast number selection of people want that flat stomach too.  All these goals are okay but don’t down yourself while trying to reach your goal. Also, remember that you are a 1 of 1. Your body will be defined based on work ethic, genetics, and nutrition. Trust the process and love yourself throughout the process.

Do you like what you see in the mirror?

Do you like how you feel when you get up in the morning?

Do you compare your life journey to others?

When was the last time you took out time to appreciate your body in the state that’s in?

When are you going to take ownership of your body?

This is an open form of communication. Let’s dig deep.

Very positive words! Statements are very real, and have universal appeal. The way you also reflect on your own aspects

of how you view parts of your own build, shows its ok to be human and love who you are, as you are. Well said!
